Police and ambulance swarm Croxteth Park over concern for woman's safety

Merseyside Police and the ambulance service swarmed Croxteth Park after an incident.

The force rushed to the park, near the cafe, at around 3.35pm on Thursday, May 19, following reports of a concern for the safety of a woman. Several police cars, a matrix van and two ambulance vehicles scrambled to the scene.

Officers arrived and found a woman, who was then taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "At around 3.35pm this afternoon police received a report of a concern for safety of a female in Croxteth Park, near the café.

"Emergency services attended and she was taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution."
