Police admit they have nothing to go on in hunt for Sussex ‘Phantom Pooper’

Police appealed for information after a man dubbed the “Phantom Pooper” kept using residential roads as a loo in a sleepy Sussex seaside village.

CCTV footage caught the suspect with toilet roll in hand, squatting down to do his business.

He is seen with pants down in plain sight of any passers-by in Camber.

Further video shows the man seemingly walking away from the scene - still carrying his loo paper.

Sussex News reported the bizarre story on X, formerly Twitter, writing: “The ‘Phantom Pooper’ strikes again in Camber.

“This stealthy stinker leaves his mark - and even comes prepared with his own toilet roll.

“This mysterious man keeps leaving unwanted deposits in a person's residential driveway.”

Sussex Police said the incidents had not been reported to them, adding: “We are aware of a video on X of a man allegedly defecating on private property in Camber. Enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or call 101.”

But one disgusting social media user wrote: “He must surely have a reason. So sad someone has to result in doing this. Really feel for the residents.”

Another said: “Oh my days! What's wrong with some people?”
