The new year is here and what better way for trainers to have fun in Pokémon GO than with an Eggs-pedition Access? It starts today, January 1, and runs until January 29. There's a lot to be excited about like the Timed Research opportunities along with the various bonuses where trainers can obtain Incubators, increased Gift storage, and even extra XP. However, to be part of the activities, trainers need to buy a ticket.
Pokémon GO launched its news season back in December with Timeless Travels. One of the events, which last for a month is Eggs-pedition Access. What happens is that at the start of each month under the new season, trainers can buy a new ticketed experience which comes with bonuses and Timed Research.
Trainers need to buy a ticket for $5 to get access to the bonuses and Timed Research opportunities throughout the month of January. It's important to remember that Timed Research expires. Which means that any tasks associated with each of the Timed Research have to be completed and the rewards claimed before January 31.
This is also a good time to have fun with friends since trainers can buy and gift tickets to any of their friends in Pokémon GO. However, to make it happen the Friendship level should be at least Great Friends. Before buying, remember that PokéCoins can't be used to buy tickets and once bought, they're non-refundable.
Timed Research
The Timed Research that's under the Eggs-pedition Access runs from January 1 to January 31. Those able to finish tasks that's part of the Timed Research get to receive XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Togetic.
January Bonuses
This being Pokémon GO, this activity won't be complete without the bonuses. There are a lot available for January. Once the ticket for Eggs-pedition Access is purchased, these bonuses are available every day until January 31:
- One single-use Incubator awarded for the first PokéStop or Gym spin of the day.
- 3× XP awarded for the first catch of the day.
- 3× XP awarded for the first PokéStop or Gym spin of the day.
- Open up to 50 Gifts per day.
- Receive up to 150 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs.
- Hold up to 40 Gifts in the Item Bag.
