Next week, all trainers in Pokémon GOare invited to be part of Sustainability Week and explore with their buddy. It's going to run from April 22 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) to April 26 at 8:00 p.m. (local time).
For the duration of the event, players can enjoy these bonuses:
- Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing Souvenirs and presents.
- The buddy spends more time on the map after being fed Berries or Poffins.
- The distance to earn buddy hearts is halved.
Eggs
For the duration of the event, Pokémon that's hatched in 2 km Eggs obtained during this event have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon than when found in the wild or through Field Research. In addition, these Pokémon hatch from 2 km Eggs.
- Combee
- Drilbur
- Trubbish
- Foongus
- Binacle
Field Research
There's also going to be event-themed Field Research available for all trainers. Those able to complete Field Research tasks get to encounter any of these Pokémon:
- Combee
- Drilbur
- Trubbish
- Binacle
Trainers lucky enough may encounter Foongus.
Other Activities
There are also Event-themed Collection Challenges available and those who complete them get to receive Stardust and XP. Trainers should also be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops where they can enter event-themed Pokémon.
Rediscover the Adventure
Niantic revealed in a post that there are a series of updates arriving to the game. Before that happens, players are invited to experience the thrill that the game offers like never before. For example, updates have been made to the in-game map, encounter screens, and even battle screens, to name a few, that have been customized to the location of the trainers.
Updates have been made as well to the avatar options and the Style Shop. With this, trainers get to express themselves even more with the availability of additional customization options.

Community Day
This weekend, trainers get to enjoy Community Day which has Bellsprout appearing more frequently in the wild. It's happening from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 5:00 p.m. (local time). For the duration of this event, there's a lot of bonuses to be enjoyed. Trainers can even get their hands on cool bundles. Get to know more about the event here.
