Poisonous Snake Found Among Stuffed Animals In Australian Child's Bed

Family in Jimboomba found snake among stuffed animals on child's bed.

An Australian family in Jimboomba, located about 30 miles south of Brisbane, had a startling encounter when they found a red-bellied black snake nestled among stuffed animals on their child's bed. The incident, reminiscent of a scene from a horror movie, unfolded on a Sunday morning and was captured on video by Snake Catchers Brisbane & Gold Coast.

In the video, a snake catcher is seen skillfully handling the nearly 3-foot serpent, which was peacefully coiled up among the child's toys. With caution and expertise, the snake catcher used a hook tool to lift the snake and safely remove it from the bed.

Red-bellied black snakes are commonly found on the east coast of Australia and are known for their venomous bites. Despite being responsible for a number of bites each year, fatalities are rare, with most victims experiencing only mild symptoms. The snake catcher successfully relocated the snake from the property, ensuring the safety of the family.

This incident serves as a reminder of the diverse wildlife that coexists with humans in Australia and the importance of being vigilant, especially in areas where encounters with snakes are more likely. It also highlights the crucial role of professional snake catchers in safely managing such situations and protecting both people and wildlife.
