Richard Osman issued a heartfelt message to Alexander Armstrong on his final episode of Pointless.
The presenters have co-hosted the popular BBC programme since it first debuted in 2009. However, Richard announced in April he had decided to quit the show.
The 51-year-old has revealed on Twitter that his final episode aired yesterday. Richard and Alexander were the only people who knew about his decision to quit when the show was filmed and he took the opportunity to issue an emotional tribute.

He said: "I was just doing an interview and they always ask me about Pointless at the end of it. They always ask 'what's Xander like?' I always say how lovely you are but it occurred to me I don't tell you in person often enough.
"I just wanted to say how lucky I am to work with you. I always think I must tell Xander in person but I never do so now I will tell you on telly."
Alexander was moved by his co-host's comments and described it as "the nicest thing in the world". Richard will continue to host celebrity editions of Pointless and his hit TV show, House of Games.
He confirmed Alexander will be joined by a new co-host for the next season of the show in September.
