Ronaldo, Pogba and Wan-Bissaka - Manchester United injury round-up ahead of West Ham

Manchester United could be without Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday as they welcome West Ham to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, 36, returned from a hip flexor injury against Brentford but he now 'has a problem with his neck', according to interim manager Ralf Rangnick. Ronaldo will be subject to a late fitness test to determine whether he's fit enough to play at the weekend.

In other injury news, Rangnick had suggested Pogba would not be available again until late February as he continued to recover from a thigh injury sustained with France in November, but the Frenchman was pictured participating in training earlier this week.

While that might indicate the midfielder will be back before late February, his official return date is yet to be clarified.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was ruled out of United's match against Brentford on Wednesday night and Rangnick confirmed that the right-back 'is still ill' ahead of the weekend's match at Old Trafford versus West Ham, which means he won't be available.

Rangnick lavished the praise on Diogo Dalot in his pre-match press conference and Wan-Bissaka might struggle to win his place back in the starting XI when he makes a full return to fitness, but the same could be said on Luke Shaw.

Shaw picked up a hamstring injury in training ahead of the Brentford match and it's understood he's ruled out again on Saturday.

"They [Telles and Dalot] get more game-time now because Luke is injured and Aaron is still ill," Rangnick said on Friday. The German also revealed that he was hopeful Edinson Cavani would train on Friday ahead of the game after not training this week.

Finally, Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho will also be unavailable for the game, but neither player is injured. Sancho has been granted compassionate leave after a funeral and Lindelof is spending time with his family after a burglary at his home.
