Pantomine season is back - oh yes it is!

Greenhills Panto is bringing its 30th anniversary pantomime Sleeping Beauty to town this week.
The fairytale sees a princess being put to sleep for 100 years and then being awoken by a handsome prince. Join the amateur group as the good fairies help to defeat the evil Wazere, restore the kingdom and ensure that love wins.
With plenty of jokes, dancing and singing this is sure to be an anniversary show to remember.
Sleeping Beauty runs from November 23-26 at East Kilbride Village Theatre. Tickets are available by calling 01355 247394.
The EKO Players present Pinocchio at East Kilbride Arts Centre on November 25 and 26.
A pantomime by Andrew O'Leary, the story centres around Gepetto, a talented puppet-maker, who really wants a son.
Using the last of his money he makes a wonderful puppet and wish. Now Pinocchio must fulfil Gepetto’s wish, avoid temptation and become a real boy - pantomime style.
Meanwhile, EK Rep Theatre members are delighted to be back performing panto in the Village Theatre - their first since December 2019.
Back with the fairytale favourite Aladdin , the show is set in a land far away... and a time, way back of beyond.
Magic happens with a street rat, a Princess, fun and romance. Will Aladdin find the lamp? Will he get his Princess?
And will the evil Abanazer get his come-uppance? Add a chorus of talented local children and the result is fantastic fun for all the family.

‘Bah humbug!’ The immortal catchphrase of one Ebenezer Scrooge, who is both the villain and the hero of Dickens’ beloved Christmas story, will be ringing out as the curtain rises on Studio 32 theatre company's quirky retelling of the classic A Christmas Carol .
It’s a cold Christmas Eve and mean-spirited miser Ebenezer Scrooge has an unexpected visit from the spirit of his former business partner Jacob Marley.
Bound in chains as punishment for a lifetime of greed, the unearthly figure explains it isn’t too late for Scrooge to change his miserly ways in order to escape the same fate, but first he’ll have to face three more eerie encounters.
It’s a story that’s been given a full panto makeover by Studio32, who are delighted to be returning to East Kilbride Arts Centre with their annual family pantomime from Wednesday, November 30 till Sunday, December 18.
Laugh at the antics of the Cratchit kids, boo as Scrooge refuses to part with his money, and cheer as a collection of quirky ghosts show Scrooge the error of his ways.
And from the producers that brought you last year’s hit family pantomime Britney and the Beast , Insideout Theatre Productions presents Maw Goose by Paul Harper-Swan from December 16-29.
It is full of well-known songs and all the Scottish banter, brought to you by a first class cast.
