Man City fans love 'leaked' images of Foden and Grealish wearing 2022/23 Puma home kit

Manchester City fans are allowing themselves to get excited over 'leaked' images of the club's 2022/23 home shirt.

After images appeared to show a model wearing a diagonally-striped black and red away shirt in Manchester this week, City fans reacted positively to a new take on a classic away shirt. Now, the classic look might be continuing with the home shirt, as images of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish modelling the new shirt are circulating on social media.

The pair appear to be modelling a new City shirt, which is being taken as a first look at next season's home shirt. It looks to be a traditional sky blue shirt, with a maroon collar and cuffs on the sleeve.

The City badge is central on the shirt rather than to the right, with the Puma logo below it in navy. The Etihad logo is in the usual place, also in navy, while sleeve sponsors continue the navy colour scheme.

The collar and cuffs are maroon have a white stripe to continue the classic, low-key look, and fans have reacted positively after the images initially appeared on the Blue Moon forum. It was also claimed the kit will be accompanied by white shorts.

Users quickly moved to praise the kit, with one saying: "nicest home shirt we’ve had in a long long long time that." Another added: "Please let that be real."

Some fans noted that they would prefer the City badge and Puma logo alongside each other like this season's kits, rather than centrally, while other fans also joked that the kit would look good on transfer target Erling Haaland.

The 'leak' comes after an apparent away kit was spotted being modelled in Manchester this week. It featured a red and black striped pattern like previous away kits, but in a diagonal design to offer a fresh twist on the traditional design.
