New York Jets training camp has officially begun, and already, we’ve got our first possible awesome Hard Knocks moment with the HBO cameras presumably filming: Shirtless Micheal Clemons walking in holding a spiked bat.
That’s great. Because I’m worried that all the hype over this season of the NFL training camp series isn’t going to be met.
Aaron Rodgers has made it clear with his “they forced it down our throats” line that he’s unhappy. The report is that the Jets will plan to limit what NFL Films will show.
Which just stinks, honestly. The last time we saw the Jets on the series, we got an all-time performance from Rex Ryan. And maybe the issue of late has been that we have SO MUCH access to training camp video thanks to social media that the Hard Knocks formula has gotten stale, or maybe teams really do know how to avoid the juicy stuff for the most part.
But we want to see some fireworks. We want to see Aaron Rodgers being weird in the QB room. We want more Quinnen Williams “bless me, thank me” moments. We want all the Sauce Gardner stuff.
So, please: Be good.
