Charlie Cresswell got off to a dream start at Millwall by scoring in their Friendly against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The 19-year-old decided on a temporary move away from Elland Road in a bid to rack up regular first-team minutes, picking Gary Rowett’s Lions over a host of potential Championship suitors.
The Millwall boss spoke during the week of Cresswell’s start to life at the second-tier outfit, praising his confidence and aggression at such a young age and also claiming he has ‘put a few of the lads on their backsides’ already. And now the Whites loanee has impressed further, scoring Millwall’s third in a nine-goal thriller against Premier League opposition.
The teenager came on at half-time for Millwall, instantly making an impact with his physicality and settling in well. His flicked header in the 76th minute pulled the score back to 4-3 and garnered plenty of praise from Lions fans. And many Lions fans are already excited about their new talent.
