Plans for a new Edinburgh indoor climbing arena and café are set to be refused by councillors on Wednesday.
The old warehouse at East Telferton, near Portobello, was previously earmarked to become a huge climbing gym last year, but the application is set to be refused during a planning meeting.
The ambitious plans previously cited how the area would flourish as a tourist attraction and bring locals to the area. The warehouse is currently in use for office and storage purposes.

A huge false climbing wall was included in the proposals, as well as a bouldering section in the middle. In addition, current office space would see some staff areas constructed as well as a management office.
The attraction would also have included a café with a kitchen and seating area. However, the application is set to be knocked back due to the fact it would "undermine the provision of business and industry units, to the detriment of the economy of the city."
However, it did note that there was a significant positive response to the plans, with over 60 supportive comments.
The pre-meeting agenda added: "The proposal would have no adverse effect on the character of the area or on neighbouring residential amenity. Sixty-three representations were received in support of the application, specifically in relation to the use being beneficial; some weight has been given to these comments. There are no material planning considerations which outweigh this conclusion.
"Whilst the proposal has significant benefits in terms of the reuse of an existing building and promotes the aspirations of the health of residents the significant weight to be applied to NPF 4 Policy 1 does not tip the balance in favour for the proposal when considered in the context of the importance of the site for business and industry."
