Plans for three-storey block of apartments on busy Nottingham road

Plans have been submitted for a three-storey block of apartments to be built on a busy Nottingham road. The proposals would see nine apartments added to Faraday Road in Lenton, if plans are given the go-ahead by Nottingham City Council.

The building currently standing at the site is vacant and applicants DR Projects Ltd want to add the apartments as well parking facilities in front of the development. - which would be a mixture of one and two bed flats. The application states: "The scheme will enhance the appearance and quality of the existing site and is a significant improvement on the existing state of the site.

The proposed scheme will meet the needs of the local area in supplying a variety of apartment sizes in one block that will reduce the need for private family homes to be converted. Preserving the privacy and outlook of neighbouring properties has been carefully considered and adequate parking has been provided for the new apartments, both vehicle and cycle in this highly sustainable area."

The application will be considered by Nottingham City Council's planning committee.
