A family-run Edinburgh Italian restaurant could be turned into a Dominos pizza takeaway following plans submitted to the council.
Earlier this year, Fabio's, on Glasgow Road, shared proposals to close their restaurant and offer locals a hot food takeaway service instead of allowing customers to dine-in.
An updated application submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council's planning team suggests that Dominos have secured permission to take over the business as sample images of their signage have been drafted up.

Managing to stay afloat during the pandemic, the family-run establishment is known for it's five star reviews, with many travelling across the city to dine there. They offer an array of tasty authentic Italian cuisine such as fresh pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes.
Offering customers their famous Italian dishes delivered straight to their door, the establishment could now close for good and be replaced by the famous pizza store.
Plans have been launched for the well-known Dominos logo to be installed on the front of the building and side, which suggests the takeover is all but confirmed.
The plans state that Dominos will continue their takeaway and delivery theme after construction within the store is complete, but Fabio's are yet to make any official announcement on social media.
