Anyone who has travelled since the pandemic ended will know that booking a seat on a flight can get rid of many unnecessary stresses on the plane.
People may prefer the window seat to have a better view, or an aisle seat to get some added leg room when the cabin crew aren't walking by, reports the Mirror.
Many people will agree that the middle seat is not a desired location, as it can bring about a lot of issues with arm rests and little space to manoeuvre.

However, one holidaymaker was left furious as they sat happily in an unreserved aisle seat, before a woman asked them to move so she could sit in the middle seat - and then plonked herself down in the aisle one instead.
They took to Reddit's Stolen Seats forum to write: "I was on an airline with first-come first-serve seats. All windows were taken, so I sat in an aisle.
"A woman came up to me and motioned for me to scoot over. I told her I have the aisle, she will have to take the middle.
"I realised she was too big to squeeze passed me, so I got up, and she just plopped down in my seat, and I had to squeeze by her to sit in the middle seat. She then looked smug and ignored me for the rest of the flight."
The passenger admitted that although this incident was "years ago", it "still bothers" them - but wanted advice on how to handle the situation in the future "without causing an embarrassing scene".
They concluded: "I could have called the attendant I suppose, but it would have been my word against hers. I've never flown with that airline since."
Many comments came up with devious plans on how to handle the situation of someone nicking your seat on a flight.
One person wrote: "I would get up and go to the bathroom every ten minutes until she begged to switch back. And if she ever didn't let me up, I would raise holy hell."
A Redditor recommended: "I wouldn't have taken the middle seat. I would have stood there in the way until she moved over, and if that didn't work, called the flight attendant over.
"And all my stuff would have been under the seat in front, in the seatback, etc, so it would have been obvious I had been settled in there. Sorry, that happened, though, that sucks."
What would you have done in this situation? Let us know in the comments.
