A plane has crashed off the runway at Dundee City Airport.
No-one was injured in the incident that happened earlier this morning.
It is understood the small aircraft was being piloted by a student who left the tarmac while taxiing.
There was no-one else on board at the time of the incident.
The airport’s fire crews raced to the scene and recovered the stricken aircraft after just 20 minutes.
There was no outside help from the police or Scottish Fire and Rescue although they were made aware of the incident.
A spokesman for Dundee City Airport told us: “The Airport Fire Service was mobilised at 09.14 today.
“They successfully recovered the aircraft after it left the runway.
“No-one was hurt in the incident and the airport reopened at 09.35.”
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We were alerted to an emergency at Dundee Airport.
“A light aircraft with one person onboard had gone off the runway while taxiing.
“The incident was dealt with by the airport’s own fire crew before we arrived.
“We were not required to give assistance.”
