Pizza Hut is to delay opening "the majority" of its stores on the day of the Queen's funeral. The company said most would open at 2pm on Monday (September 19).
It said the delay was "a mark of respect" and for staff to pay tribute and apologised if it caused any inconvenience to customers. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday (September 20).
Pizza Hut said in an email to customers: "As a mark of respect, and to enable our staff to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the majority of our Pizza Hut stores will delay opening until 2pm on September 19th.
"For the most up-to-date information on opening times for your local Hut, please refer to our website. We will be open as usual on Tuesday 20th September. We apologise if this causes any inconvenience."
Big names ranging from Greggs to McDonald's have already announced they will close or delay opening on Monday to mark the Queen's funeral. All Asda stores will be closed until 5pm while large Tesco stores will be shut all day and smaller Express stores will shut until 5pm.
