Pizza Hut has confirmed the return of its popular Big New Yorker pizza as part of its latest menu shake-up. Available from next week, the Big New Yorker pizza hasn't featured on their menu since 1999 - and has been missed by fans across the country.
It measures a whopping 16 inches in diameter and is topped with topped with marinara sauce, parmesan oregano seasoning, and double pepperoni or a topping of your choice.
The mega pizza features six oversized, foldable slices with a crispy crust, so will definitely satisfy those cravings.
The menu favourite costs $13.99 - but there's also an option to customise it with extra toppings or extra cheese for an additional charge.
A Pizza Hut statement reads: "Pizza lovers may remember the iconic menu item from when it was first introduced in 1999.
"Since being retired from the menu, there have been numerous different requests for Pizza Hut to bring back The Big New Yorker.
"In fact, the company has seen everything from social media accounts dedicated to its hopeful return, Reddit threads and even a Change.org petition with thousands of signatures to bring the pizza back on menus."
Lindsay Morgan, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut added: "The Big New Yorker was a huge hit when we launched it in 1999, setting the stage for future industry innovations like Pizza Hut Melts and Detroit-Style pizza.
"At 30 per cent larger than our large pizza, now is the perfect time to answer our customers’ requests and bring back The Big New Yorker in a big way right before the big game next month."
Customers will be able to order the pizza from certain Pizza Hut restaurants from February 1, but Hut Rewards members will get exclusive access to try it starting January 31.
The Big New Yorker pizza will only be available in participating US stores for a limited time.
