For India, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 42 runs while KL Rahul and Shubman Gill scored 37 and 31 runs respectively.
India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck on a very first ball of the Pink Ball Test.
Later, Rahul and Gill stitched a partnership of 69 runs for the second wicket. Gill was dismissed by Starc.
