Pink Ball Test: Australia at 86/1 after dismissing India for 180

Mitchell Starc takes 6 wickets

Adelaide: Australia scored 86/1 on the first day of the second Test being played in Adelaide after they bundled out India for 180 runs. 

Starc takes 6 wickets
Pacer Mitchell Starc took six wickets while Pat Cummins and Scott Boland also chipped in with the ball as they took 2 wickets each. 

The visitors were bundled out for 180, the lowest first-innings total in a day-night Test at this venue. 
Australia trail by 94 runs.

At stumps, Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne were at the crease on 38 and 20 respectively. Australia still trail by 94 runs.

Opener Usman Khawaja was dismissed by pacer Jasprit Bumrah for 13. 

India wins toss
Earlier in the day, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first in the second Test match of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

For India, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 42 runs while KL Rahul and Shubman Gill scored 37 and 31 runs respectively. 
India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck on a very first ball of the Pink Ball Test. 

Later, Rahul and Gill stitched a partnership of 69 runs for the second wicket. Gill was dismissed by Starc. 

Later, Virat Kohli (7) and captain Rohit Sharma (3) fell cheaply while Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin contributed 21 and 22 respectively. India kept losing their wickets at regular intervals and could score 180 runs. (With Agency Inputs)
