Adelaide: After taking a crucial 157 runs lead in the first innings, Australia reduced India to 128/5 on the second day in the Pink-ball Test at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

At stumps, India was still trailing by 29 runs. Rishabh Pant was batting on 28 while Nitish Reddy's individual score was 15.
For the host team, Pat Cummins and Scott Boland have taken two wickets each, while Mitchell Starc has also taken one wicket.

Travis Head hits ton
Earlier in the day, riding on Travis Head’s scintillating 140 off 141 balls, Australia scored 337 runs, taking 157 runs lead.
India bowlers
For India, pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj took 4 wickets each.
In this match, like the first innings, the Indian batsmen disappointed a lot in the second innings as well. Notably, India scored 180 runs in the first innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, who came to open the Indian innings, could not give a good start to the team India. Rahul was got out for just 7 runs. While Jaiswal could score only 24 runs. At the same time, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli scored 28 and 11 runs, respectively.
Rohit’s bad form continues
After India lost 4 wickets, captain Rohit Sharma came to the crease. However, he did not look comfortable at the crease and was clean bowled by Pat Cummins for 6 runs.
While India kept loosing their wickets at regular intervals, Pant, who came to bat at number 5, remained unfazed and played his shots with freedom. He stunned the crowd by coming down the pitch on the first ball he faced and smashing pacer Scott Boland over mid-off for a boundary. Pant continued his audacious approach until the stumps were drawn, giving India some hope.
