A Boeing 747 pilot on his final flight has 'drawn' an incredible plane in the sky to mark its final journey.
The captain at the helm of the retiring aircraft , dubbed the "Queen of the Skies", altered its flight path while over the Mediterranean Sea to resemble the silhouette of the plane.
The plane had been serving Israeli airline El Al for 48 years, before it took its final flight on Sunday, November 3.
The flight departed Rome and flew towards Tel Aviv before descending southwest of Cyprus to 10,000 feet and beginning its drawing.
The drawing took 1 hour 45 minutes to complete, covering 29,950 square kilometers as a final farewell to the long serving plane .
It was captured by global flight tracking service FlightRadar24. You can watch the final flight in action on the website .
It's not the first time an aircraft has been used to create sky art using flight tracking software.
Two years ago, a pilot 'drew' a giant Christmas tree - including baubles - over Germany while doing a four-hour test flight of an Airbus A380 aircraft for Emirates.
Earlier in 2019, UK pilot Robert Green drew a sky art tribute to his pet hedgehog, Aristotle, by spelling out his name.
