Seven pigeons were found abandoned in a cardboard box on a major road near Glasgow.
The Scottish SPCA were alerted to the pigeons found by a member of the public in a lay-by on the A82 on Thursday, March 24.
None of the seven of the pigeons were ringed. All were found in a poor condition and five have since passed away.
The charity is now caring for them at their Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
Scottish SPCA centre manager Judy Button, said, “The seven pigeons were found by a member of the public in a cardboard box in a lay-by on the A82 on 24 March.

“They were found in poor condition and unfortunately five passed away.
“They were not ringed and the remaining two are in our care here at the centre.
“We’re keen to find out how these pigeons ended up in the area in this condition.
