Piers Morgan never shies away from controversial topics.
And today, the former Good Morning Britain host, 56, has thrown his two pence worth in following Adele, 33, coming under fire for comments she made when picking up the Artist of the Year award at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night.
Last night the biggest names in showbiz gathered at London's 02 Arena for the ceremony, which for the first time scrapped male and female categories for gender-neutral awards.
When chart-topper Adele accepted her third trophy of the night, she pointed out how Best Female Act no longer existed and told that she 'really loves being a woman."
After accepting the award, she said: "This is amazing, I really wasn't expecting this one at all. I love being an artist, I really do, and I genuinely can't believe it's my job," as she praised some of the other nominated artists.
She later added: "I understand why the name of this award has changed but I really love being a woman."
Afterwards, the Tottenham native was accused of being a TERF, a trans-exclusionary radical feminist by some social media users - and Piers has blasted the comments slamming the star.
Throwing support behind Adele, he uploaded an image of a news story - taken from the New York Post - with the headline: "Adele slammed for telling gender-neutral award show she loves 'being a woman'."
Showing that he was not happy with the musician being put on blast, he penned on Instagram : "FFS.. When people ask me, ‘what’s your new show going to be about?’, the answer is that, among other things, it’s going to be about me cancelling the woke imbeciles who think it’s OK to bully and terrorise women into denying their own existence."
Under Piers' post several people revealed that they saw nothing wrong in Adele's words.
One penned: "Sorry, what's wrong with a woman saying she "loves being a woman"?? Asking on behalf of all us women here..."
A second echoed: "Get a grip people, she is a woman & nobody should make her feel ashamed for stating the truth/bleeding obvious! STOP BULLYING WOMAN!!!!."
More added: "Well what’s wrong with saying that" and "She is a women and she is proud of herself If she identified as a man and said im a proud man. That would be fine too. Who are others to say you cant be proud of who or what you identify as.x well done Adele x."
When the BRITs announced they were changing the format this year to remove the gendered awards, Piers spoke out at the time.
Sharing he was not keen on the idea, with Piers slammed the 'woke' BRITs for making the change, as he wrote at the time: "What a load of woke garbage. Won’t be long before it’s illegal to call yourself a man or woman."

Tom March, BRIT Chairman and Co-President of Polydor Records, confirmed at the time that they had taken the decision to change the award to be gender-neutral with Best British Male and Best British Female scrapped.
He said at the time: "It is important that the BRITs continue to evolve and aim to be as inclusive as possible. It feels completely the right time to celebrate the achievements of artists for the music that they create, and the work that they do, irrespective of gender."
The BRITs saw Adele pick up three gongs, whilst Ed Sheeran won Songwriter of the Year. Other winners included Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Sam Fender, Little Simz, Becky Hill and rapper Dave.
