Piers Morgan has lashed out at Meghan Markle once more, questioning who she thinks she is amid a UK return with Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were back on UK soil on Monday (September 5), appearing at the One Young World Summit in Manchester.
The news comes after Meghan made a number of claims in a recent media spree while promoting her new podcast Archetypes. Among her claims during a 6,500-word interview with The Cut magazine, was an allegation that British media had racially abused her children by using a slur.
The Mirror reports that Meghan also seemed to say that Harry had spoke about a breakdown in his relationship with his father Prince Charles, after the couple decided to make the move stateside. However, her unofficial spokesman Omid Scobie later took to social media to say that his understanding was that Prince Harry was referring to Meghan's loss of her father.
Piers recently used the return of his show Uncensored to have a dig at Meghan, claiming that she and Harry wanted to 'fleece' their titles and that he 'wasn't having any of it'. He also suggested that the couple were 'damning the monarchy with every interview they give'.
He also took to his column in The Sun, fuming: "Even by her standards, it’s staggeringly, stupendously, preposterously absurd for a woman who married a multi-millionaire prince, gave up her job, and now lives entirely off the gargantuan proceeds of his royal status that she ruthlessly fleeces to the highest bidders, lecturing anyone about poverty and equality.
"But for Markle to pull this stunt in Britain, the country she loathes and couldn’t wait to abandon once she sunk her claws into halfwit Harry, at a time when we’re in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the end of World War Two, is as sickening as it’s outrageous."
He added: "To be blunt, who [SIC] does she think she is coming back here at all after all the vile manure she’s gleefully flung at Britain, the Monarchy and the Royal Family?"
Piers then went on to accuse the two of being 'shamefully tone deaf' for giving a keynote address about poverty and gender equality, before suggesting that Meghan and Harry should be stripped of their royal titles completely.
The presenter, continued: "As always with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – I still don’t understand why the hell they’re allowed to keep these titles given how cynically they exploit them for personal financial gain - their actions are riddled with hypocrisy."
