Donald Trump labelled Twitter’s executives as “mentally ill” during his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

In the second segment of his interview with the Talk TV host, the former US President attacked Twitter executives for permanently removing his account last year following the Capitol Hill riot.

“They’re sick, they’re mentally ill, I really believe that,” he said when asked why his account had been removed while others have not. In further criticism from of the platform, he then said Twitter had “become boring”.

The former President also said the social media platform he launched, Truth Social, will become one of the best in the world.

Although tech mogul, Elon Musk, has now purchased Twitter, Mr Trump said he will not rejoin the social media platform, and will remain on Truth Social, which was launched by the Trump Media & Technology Group.

Despite trailing footage showing the former President appearing to storm off ahead of the interview, Piers revealed the end of their conversation where he asked Mr Trump about his recent hole in one.

After discussing Mr Trump’s golf prowess, the interview finished with the former President eventually walking away, and is heard saying Piers had been “very dishonest”.

In the first part of the interview, which aired on Monday, Mr Trump refused to rule out running in 2024 Presidential election.

Spieaking to Piers, he added: “I think a lot of people are going to be very happy.”

He said “for reasons of campaign finance” he is “not allowed” to state definitively whether he will stand to lead the US.

As Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine continues, Mr Trump said the conflict would’ve been avoided had he been in office.

Asked what he had previously said to Mr Putin, he said: “I threatened him like he’s never been threatened before. We have a war that would have never happened if I was president.”

Mr Trump said he thought the war was “terrible”, adding: “We’re going to be ashamed at what we’ve done, or what we haven’t done to stop this catastrophe. This is a catastrophe. This is in a way already a world war.”

Asked to elaborate on how he would’ve dealt with Mr Putin, he added: “I would say we have far more nuclear weapons than you do, far more powerful than you and you can't use that word ever again.

“You cannot use the nuclear word ever again. And if you do, we're going to have problems.”
