Piers Morgan scolded the younger royals and urged them to be more like the late Prince Philip.
The Duke of Edinburgh died aged 99 peacefully in his sleep with the Queen by his side at their home.
In the wake of the sad news, Piers — who stepped down from Good Morning Britain after refusing to apologise to Meghan Markle — commemorated Philip's memory.
In a touching note, the TV star celebrated Philip's character traits for being "tough, uncompromising, stoic, and resolutely silent in public about the myriad scandals".
By stark comparison, the broadcast journalist insisted the younger Royals had a lot to learn from the Queen's late husband.

Piers highlighted the 10 things he felt Philip had left behind in his legacy for the younger royals to follow, including: Park the ego, don't whine, work hard, read, avoid scandal, stay off Oprah, keep fit and do everything in moderation, stay grounded, just get on with it and do your best.
In his latest Daily Mail column, he wrote: "In many ways, she [The Queen] was very similar to Prince Philip : tough, uncompromising, stoic, and resolutely silent in public about the myriad scandals that have engulfed the Royal Family.
"They had both had very strong opinions, they just preferred not to share them outside of the family and close, trusted friends."

At the same time, Piers seemingly couldn't resist taking another swipe at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The author appeared to hit out at the couple, who stepped down from their royal duties in 2018, for "wallowing in self-pity and complaining about their regally gilded lives" during their recent Oprah chat in a thinly-veiled dig.
He added: "But many of the younger royals that followed them have behaved very differently - emoting on television, playing the victim, wallowing in self-pity, complaining about their regally gilded lives, and getting themselves into all manner of lurid scrapes that have damaged the family's reputation."
The royal family prepare to say goodbye to Philip at his funeral on Saturday.

Only 30 members of the family will be able to attend the occasion amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Prince Harry has touched down in the UK ahead of his grandfather's funeral.
His pregnant wife Meghan and son Archie, one, has stayed at their home in Los Angeles because her doctor advised her not to make the long haul journey.
Piers initially paid tribute to Philip with kind words on his Instagram profile.
He wrote: "RIP Prince Philip, 99.
"A truly great Briton who dedicated his life to selfless public duty & was an absolute rock of devoted support to Her Majesty, The Queen, as the longest-serving royal consort to any British sovereign.
"A very sad day for our country. Thank you, Sir."
