Piers Morgan tells Donald Trump to 'take a chill pill' after his furious statements

Piers Morgan is facing the wrath of Donald Trump after he released a trailer for their upcoming interview.

The former US president, 75, lambasted the former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, in the explosive clip and labelled him a "fool" and dishonest because of his thoughts.

But after the businessman-turned-politician released two furious statements in a matter of hours, Piers has told him to "take a chill pill".

In the trailer for the eagerly anticipated interview, it appears as though the American originally refuses to take part as he blasts for the cast to "turn the camera off".

The former pals appeared to clash n the chat, as the former president was grilled over the US presidential election.

Donald's comms team however is adamant the clip doesn't show the real story and in a second statement the former president slammed Piers for "rigging and redoing my words" to make it sound like her had stormed out of the discussion.

The statement continued: "Piers got caught red-handed, and the interview that I rather enjoyed is now in shambles.

He went on to say he had enjoyed talking to Piers about the 2020 election and how Piers felt like a "fool" for storming off Good Morning Britain.

It concluded: "Piers is off to a bad start, but thanks to me he may get a final burst of big ratings before it all comes crashing down."

Piers found the statement hilarious and quote tweeted it in his response.

He began his message with two crying with laughter face emojis before writing: "We haven't even aired it yet, and he's already released two furious statements... about a PROMO?!

"Take a chill pill, Mr President - it's a great interview, even if you did lose your rag a bit."

He followed it up by saying: "Love these statements," alongside a love heart emoji.

And the interview also seemed to get under the skin of Caitlyn Jenner who promptly let it known she will no longer be appearing on Piers' show.

Caitlyn and Piers had a back and forth on Twitter over the clip, with the former Olympian condemning Piers' "repulsive misconduct".

Piers responded by quoting her tweet and saying: "Hi Caitlyn, I thought you hated cancel culture? I did a 75-minute interview with President Trump, why don’t you actually watch it before deciding how I behaved?"

Caitlyn's response began: "This isn’t about cancel culture, @piersmorgan. It’s about your desire to be relevant at other peoples expense, by entirely misrepresenting interviews based on hatchet job editing for clicks."

She continued: "What you did to Trump would make any public figure think twice about coming on your show."
