It's set to be one of the most explosive interviews yet as Steven Bartlett confirms he has sat down for a "very honest" conversation with controversial journalist and broadcaster, Piers Morgan. The entrepreneur and Dragon is currently recording his number one rated podcast, The Diary of a CEO, in Los Angeles where the star-power of his guests continues to go up and up.
Former guests included the CEOs and founders of some of the world's biggest corporations as well as celebrities with stories to tell like former footballer Rio Ferdinand, presenter Ferne Cotton and comedian Jimmy Carr.
Steven confirmed the most recent booking in a tweet to his 190,000 followers with a picture of him and Piers Morgan locked in a friendly hug and the caption reading: "One of the most requested guests we’ve ever had - and yesterday we finally managed to make it happen! A very HONEST conversation about life, cancel culture, the art of attention, failure, mental health, truth and more!"
A follow up tweet from Steven read: "This one *really* didn’t disappoint. We’ll be dropping it on the same date his new show “Piers Morgan Uncensored” airs which is April 25th". Piers is never one to shy away from revealing his uncensored views on topics such as the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Indeed, in early 2021, the TV presenter stormed off Good Morning Britain after being confronted for comments he made about Meghan's Markle's TV interview with Oprah Winfrey. He then went on to quit GMB altogether and since then has lain low (sort of anyway) whilst preparing for a new TV show of his own entitled: Piers Morgan Uncensored (airing later this month on Talk TV).
Fans of The Diary of a CEO podcast took to Twitter to give views on Bartlett's latest booking with verified account @Kelechnekoff saying: "Imagine interviewing and further platforming a man who is actively harassing a woman in front of the world." Bartlett responded: "Imagine only being willing to have a conversation with people you know you already completely agree with and sticking your fingers in your ears to anyone else. Imagine how little progress would be made in the world. Imagine judging a conversation before you’ve even heard it."
The Diary of a CEO podcast is available wherever you get your podcasts, and also available to watch on YouTube. The air date for the Piers Morgan interview is to be confirmed.
