Piers Morgan says people 'shriek in horror' when they see Madonna out in public

Piers Morgan says people "shriek in horror" when they see Madonna out in public and called her a "rude little madam" during a TV debate about ageism on TalkTV.

The presenter was joined by three guests who were invited onto 'Piers Morgan: Uncensored' after the pop icon accused Grammy Awards critics of 'ageism and misogyny'.

It after she received backlash on social media and in the press about her look at the ceremony on Sunday. Responding on Instagram, Madonna wrote: "Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in.

"A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous."

Comedian James Barr slammed Piers Morgan's criticism of Madonna, asking him: "Is anyone discussing how YOU look?" Piers replied: "I get fat-shamed all the time even though as you can see I'm basically emaciated."

The debate was talking about ageism (TalkTV)

The former Good Morning presenter told his panel that when Madonna goes out "everyone shrieks in horror" and says she's like a "Halloween costume."

James butted in and said: "You've met Madonna, you called her rude when you met her."

"She was incredibly rude when I met her, but I don't hold that against her," Piers replied.

James added: Woman are allowed to be...." before he was cut off by Piers, who said: "They're allowed to be rude little madams. And she is."
