Piers Morgan's son savagely mocks dad as star remains off Twitter after being hacked

Piers Morgan 's son has taken a cheeky swipe at his dad online, amid the fallout from the star being hacked on Twitter.

Twitter users were left shocked in the early hours of Tuesday morning when Piers' Twitter account started sending out expletive-riddled messages - with it quickly becoming apparent that his account had been hacked.

Followers of the 57-year-old’s social media account were left gobsmacked when he sent out tweets including slurs against the late Queen Elizabeth II and pop star Ed Sheeran.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter's Twitter account is now inactive in the wake of the hack - with everything appearing to have been wiped from the star's profile as his team from his Talk TV show ask Twitter owner Elon Musk for help regarding the matter.

Taking to his own Twitter account on Tuesday night, Piers' son Spencer Morgan told his 75,400 followers: "Can’t believe I now have the biggest twitter account in my family

"Never thought this day would come."

Piers, who has 8.3 million followers on the social media site, still has no profile picture, banner image or posts on his Twitter account as of morning.

Spencer confirmed his dad had been hacked on Tuesday morning, tweeting: "Obviously dad’s finally been hacked. Ideal when he’s in a different time zone."

The official Twitter account for Piers' TV show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, tried to help the TV presenter out following the hack - appealing to Twitter owner Musk to reinstate Piers on the social media site.

"In case you were wondering, @piersmorgan has been hacked," the show's account tweeted alongside a screenshot of the host's blank profile. "Any chance of getting him back, @elonmusk?"

Elon - who has tweeted multiple times over recent days - is yet to reply to the request or comment on the situation.

According to reports, Piers' account shared posts overnight on Tuesday containing false information, racial slurs and abusive messages directed at the late Queen and singer Ed Sheeran.

Piers’ Instagram account appeared to be operating normally, with the star's latest post on the picture-sharing app shared two days ago.

The presenter, who recently joined TalkTV as the host of its Uncensored show after quitting GMB, has not publicly addressed the apparent hack.

He is a regular user of the platform, using it to voice his opinions on topics ranging from Cristiano Ronaldo ’s status among the best footballers of all time to multiple tweets about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - in particularly Meghan Markle.

As the alleged hacker went on a posting spree in the early hours of Tuesday morning, many Twitter users bagged the unknown person behind the takeover to leak Piers' private messages.

Some appealed to the hackers, asking them to access Piers’ Direct Messages to uncover the communications he had in the past with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

One fan questioned if the DM’s could finally unveil exactly why Piers has such contempt for the American actress.

One follower tweeted: "I Want to see why Piers hate Meghan Markle so much. Go to Megan’s DMs" along with crying-with-laughter emojis.

As the hack continued, some fans interacted with the account - with one demanding the apparent hackers leak Piers' DMs.

However, they hackers responded to claim there was "nothing interesting" within the private messages.
