Piers Morgan has, again, tuned into the latest drop of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix series and again, he hasn't held back. It's fair to say the former Good Morning Britain star hasn't been the couple's biggest cheerleader in recent years and has often made his feelings felt.
Last week, following the release of Volume 1 of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docuseries, entitled simply Harry & Meghan, Piers slammed the show as 'worse than Keeping Up With The Kardashians' and later said that it was "disgusting" how Meghan and Harry appeared to brand Britain 'a racist country'.
Following the release of Volume 2 on Thursday (December 15), the TalkTV host has again taken to social media to comment and he mocked the couple of his 'appearance' in the final three episodes, which focus on Harry and Meghan's decision to step back as senior royals.
During the series, as the Duke and Duchess discussed a turn in their relationship with the media after a lengthy tour of Australia, an audio clip aired of Piers describing Meghan as a 'rockstar' that was 'not a good thing' for the family. The controversial journalist is heard saying: 'Putting aside what I think about her, she's becoming a royal rockstar.
"Bigger, I would argue as a couple, than William and Kate. That's probably not a good thing in the long term." Reacting to his cameo in the docuseries, which saw the first release watched by millions across the world, Piers tweeted: "I'm being regularly heard/quoted in this second instalment of the Megsflix whine-a-thon.
"I'm traumatised by this terrible invasion of my privacy." He later added: 'Their incessant whining is so insufferably exhausting." But his followers were quick to call out his apparent double standards including journalist Jonny McFarlane who said: "Almost as bad as your incessant whining about their whining…"
But Piers clapped back: "Or your whining about my whining about their whining…" Offering his final thought - for now - the 57-year-old said: "Prince Harry publicly trashing his brother William, branding his father King Charles a liar, and attacking his grandmother the late Queen for doing nothing. This is such a grotesque and sickening betrayal of his family. #MeghanandHarryNetflix."
However, not all of Piers' followers were a fan of his comments. @lawmush1 said: "Your hatred is unmatched … why can’t you focus on your personal life." @Scarpenter_67 commented: "People are struggling to live so who really cares? We have our own families to worry about without you continually whining on about them."
@sarahwelshbird added: "Netflix must love the promotion you are giving this documentary! You are the reason I am watching it so that I have a better understanding of your fascination with two people whom you seem to despise, but here you are, increasing the focus on them every single day."
