Piers Morgan has mocked Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after Spotify released a misinformation statement.
In January, the former royal couple urged the platform to make changes to prevent "serious harms" from COVID misinformation linked to The Joe Rogan Experience.
Meghan and Harry's statement did not call out the podcaster, but he was the target of a Spotify boycott instigated by Neil Young and other musicians and talent, who were protesting COVID misinformation on his podcast.
Now, the couple's production firm Archewell says it's satisfied that Spotify is "adequately addressing the problem of misinformation on its platform".
After seeing an article confirming Spotify has released a misinformation statement, the former Good Morning Britain presenter called Meghan a "liar" and said the pair are "beyond parody".
He wrote on Twitter in response to the article: "So a proven liar is now satisfied nobody else is lying? Beyond parody."
However many disagreed with Piers as they took to the comments section below.
One person wrote: "Dear god is there no end to this."
A second shared: "You’re beyond obsessed with Meghan. It’s not healthy, mate."
"Leave Meghan alone," a third warned.
The news article also announced a new podcast featuring Meghan will air this summer, which many said they are looking forward to.
Meghan and Harry parted ways with the Royal Family last year.
In 2020, their Archewell firm set a deal with Spotify to produce exclusive podcasts that "build community through shared experience, narratives and values".
The couple spoke about the pressures of working as full-time royals in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.
The highly anticipated interview saw the couple lift the lid on life behind Palace walls and make several shocking allegations about their family.
They shared that there had been "concerns" over the colour of their son Archie's skin and said Prince Charles had stopped taking Harry's phone calls.
They also revealed they secretly got married before their royal wedding.
In recent days, an expert claimed the couple "only have each other now" after turning their backs on the Royal Family.
Katie told OK!: “In only four years they’ve been on an extraordinary journey, making such huge decisions.
"But as Harry said, they are in it together, as a team.
“When you think about what they’ve turned their backs on, what they’ve given up and particularly the sacrifices Harry has made, it’s just as well they’re such a strong unit because they’ve only really got each other.
"Meghan’s only family connections are with her mother Doria, and Harry’s ties with his family are hanging by a thread.”
