TV presenters Jeremy Clarkson and Piers Morgan have never been best friends, often butting heads both physically and verbally. Now Piers has revealed details about one of their fights and the "permanent scar" he was left with.
While speaking on the Big Fish podcast, hosted by Spencer Matthews, Piers spoke about the fight he and Jeremy had at the 2004 Press Awards. Piers says he was left with a "permanent scar" from the fight. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
He explained that although they are not best friends now they do get on better. He said: "That scar on my head is where he punched me in the head, we're not exactly best buddies, although we get on fine now...I was editor of the Mirror and we published photographs of him in a compromising position with someone who wasn't the then Mrs Clarkson and he didn't like it, and the next time he saw me he punched me in the head, which I thought was perfectly reasonable."

Speaking to The Guardian at the time of the fight, Piers said: "I think it is fair to say he was a little inebriated. He did then try to apologise but sadly I wasn't massively enamoured by this gesture, given the mounting inflammation to various parts of my skull - although I've frankly taken worse batterings from my three-year-old son. I don't think it helped that Jeremy didn't win his award last night."
In 2020 the pair were able to put their history behind them when Piers appeared on a celebrity special of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, which Jeremy hosts. Joking with Jeremy, Piers said while on the show: "I'm going to say the words I never thought I'd say... I trust you. I believe you. At least this way if I'm wrong, it's your fault."
Jeremy is currently being scrutinised for his column about Megan Markle, which he received a lot of backlash for including from his own daughter, however, Amazon has confirmed that his show Clarkson's Farm will continue to air on Amazon Prime.
