Piers Morgan has called Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford a "treacherous little p***k", after their feud over Megan Markle.
Piers walked off the set of the GMB after Alex challenged him over his views on Meghan Markle, which sparked him leaving the show as a presenter.
Speaking in an interview with the BBC's Amol Rajan, Piers said Alex, who is a weather presenter on GMB , made a personal attack on him while they were discussing Meghan's comments during her Oprah Winfrey interview, in 2021.
“I don’t mind a guest doing that but I do object to someone who had asked to come on the show, who is on the team, who then makes a very personal attack on me,” he said.
“And so in that moment I thought, there’s two things that are going to happen here. Either I am going to completely lose my rag and do something I regret or I am going to go and walk off.
“I don’t like to think about what I would have done but I was certainly looking at him thinking… yeah, I think I’d better leave the room.
“And just for the record I think he was a treacherous little p***k.
“So he can say what he likes about me and he can absolutely have his right to his opinion. That is my opinion about him.”
"I think what he did was deliberately treacherous to a colleague and I just don't think that's acceptable."
The Mirror has approached Alex for comment.
When Alex slammed Piers for his "absolutely diabolical" behaviour, his rival dramatically walked out saying he was "done with this" before eventually returning twenty minutes later, ITV later announcing he was leaving the show.
Alex said: "I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle, you've made it so clear a number of times on this programme, and I understand you've got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off."
But Piers replied: "I'm not having this."
In April last year, Piers told Lorraine Kelly that Alex "wanted his moment of YouTube fame" as he questioned his motives.
He said: "Apparently he was heard out the back rehearsing his lines. Clearly wanted to have his little YouTube moment of fame, and that’s fine. I know he was planning a Hollywood career."
Explaining why he walked out, Piers said: "I had a little time out because I wasn't sure how I would respond if I stayed sitting there listening to that idiot giving me his two pennies worth.
"So I did walk back in and I did finish that show and then I was presented with a fait accompli and chose not to apologise and to leave. But I did have a great time."
