Piers Morgan has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's statement regarding the King's Coronation following news the pair had received an invite to the event.
It was revealed on Sunday that the pair had received correspondence from His Majesty's office to officially invite them to the ceremony, but a spokesperson said their attendance "will not be disclosed" at this time.
The words left a bitter taste in the mouth of the outspoken presenter, 57, who took aim at the couple once again.
As has often been the case, Piers hit out at Harry and Meghan for the way they had handled their business. Taking to Twitter, the former Good Morning Britain man wrote: "The arrogance of this statement is comical.
"These Monarchy-trashing clowns shouldn’t be anywhere the Coronation, let anyone [sic] taking their time to 'make a decision.'"
His words split the opinion of his followers, with one jibing: "Clearly waiting to hear from the Netflix producers if they can get a camera crew in time."
However, another said Piers wouldn't have been happy with any statement released by the pair, writing: "Accept the invitation - ‘they shouldn’t be there!’
"Decline the invitation - ‘they’re disrespecting the King! They should be there!’ Not yet responded to the invitation - ‘how dare they take some time to respond!’" they slammed, followed by a yawning face emoji.
News of Harry and Meghan's invitation broke on Sunday after it was revealed earlier in the week the pair would no longer have access to Frogmore Cottage, which the pair had previously called home.
It's said the keys to the cottage had instead been offered to Prince Andrew.
Harry and Meghan, who have been living in California, had continued to keep belongings at the property, but were evicted from the five-bedroomed home by Harry's father Charles.
The move to evict the duo was once again something Piers felt the need to comment on as he praised the King's "smart" move.
On his TalkTV show on Wednesday, Piers was involved in a heated back and forth with guest Tessa Dunlop.
During the debate, Piers had said the couple had the potential to cause the downfall of the monarchy, meaning the king had to act swiftly.
As Tessa tried to halt Piers' views, he quickly interrupted and said: "Actually what Charles has done, in my view very smartly, is now moved to save the monarchy and its reputation from these two flamethrowers who keep wanting to trash it and burn it to the ground."
