Piers Morgan made a cheeky quip about co-host Susanna Reid’s breasts as he called for Good Morning Britain producers to “zoom in” on a picture of her from the BAFTA TV red carpet.
Reid left viewers in awe as she worked the cameras in a sheer black Isabell Kristensen gown, with only a floral print to cover her modesty.
Discussing the look on Monday’s breakfast show he said: “Talking of things that were blown up, Susanna, your dress was really quite something. Can we have a zoom in? Can we go in more?”
Reid, who said producers had been “very tasteful” by not showing a close-up shot, could be heard sighing as Morgan demanded they “zoom in”.
On seeing the blown up image, Morgan said: “Now that is what I call a dress. Don’t need to zoom on those do we.”
Entertainment reporter Richard Arnold couldn’t resist poking fun, saying: “Who said you get nothing for a pair?”
Reid’s fans were overwhelmed by the racy outfit with many hailing her “gorgeous”.
One fan wrote: “Wow wow wow very stunning indeed.”
Another posted: “What words can I use. YOU. LOOK ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS (sic).”
A third commented: “Blimey...you look amazing.”
Good Morning Britain was up for two gongs in the News Coverage category for their interview with Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle as well as coverage of knife crime in the UK.
But they lost out to Channel 4 for Cambridge Analytica Uncovered.
Morgan branded the BBC “churlish” and “pathetic” for not even mentioning their category during the two hour broadcast on Sunday night.
“Utterly churlish, pathetic and spineless by the BBC – and I’m on to you,” he said. “I will be pumping out the fact we got nominations for the rest of the year till you all get sick of it.”
Good Morning Britain is on ITV, weekdays at 6am
