Piers Morgan blasts Harry and Meghan for 'kiss and tell' Netflix documentary series

Piers Morgan has blasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once again after they released the trailer for their brand new Netflix documentary series.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter took to Twitter to share his anger over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's documentary, as they tell their side of the story in a new bombshell series. Netflix are reported to have paid $100 million (£88 million) to the pair to capture the fly-on-the-wall series, writes The Mirror.

The explosive trailer was released today ahead of the release next week, prompting many to take to Twitter to share their reactions, including outspoken journalist Piers. He slammed the couple and branded them "repulsive hypocrites" as he replied to a tweet from Netflix to share the trailer.

Piers wrote: "Imagine bleating about privacy then doing a kiss-and-tell reality series about your private lives? Then imagine preaching compassion as you trash your family again? Then imagine releasing 1st trailer deliberately to ruin your brother’s big trip to America? Repulsive hypocrites."

However, not everyone agreed with Piers' view on things and tweeted in reply to him: "It’s not really that difficult to understand, privacy isn’t about people have zero knowledge of your life & living up in the mountains as a hermit. Privacy is YOU having control over what people can know about YOUR life and living your life accordingly."

Another penned: "Imagine being as bothered about this couple as you are."

While a third said: "Imagine not mentioning it every time they do something. You give them more publicity but say you dnt care. Just ignore and they would disappear if no-one was interested". [sic]

In an earlier tweet reacting to the trailer, Piers wrote: "OMG. This is already vomit-inducing."

In the teaser clip, never-before-seen photos of the couple are shown, as well as snaps from their childhoods. In the clip Harry can be heard saying: "No one sees what's happening behind closed doors," while a photo of Meghan crying while looking at her phone is shown.

Harry adds: "I had to do everything I could to protect my family."

Meghan can then be heard saying: "When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?".

The Duchess of Sussex previously revealed how the documentary series will delve into the couple's love story as she said how viewers can expect "the piece of my life I haven't been able to share, that people haven't been able to see – our love story".

Before the former Suits actress got together with Prince Harry, Piers Morgan is said to have had an online friendship with Meghan. However, after she married into the royal family, Piers has launched a series of scathing attacks on Meghan – and even stormed off of Good Morning Britain during a row over her interview with Oprah Winfrey, before quitting.

Piers has previously recalled how he followed Meghan and a few other Suits stars on Twitter before Meghan followed back and sent him a message to say what a fan she was.

According to Piers, the pair are then said to have met for platonic drinks before they parted ways. Piers previously told The Late Late Show: "We had two hours in the pub, she had a couple of dirty martinis and pints – we got on brilliantly. Then I put her in a cab, and it turns out it was the cab that took her to a party where she met Prince Harry."

Piers added: "The next night they had a solo dinner together and that was the last time I ever heard from her."

The TV star then joked that Meghan "ghosted" him.
