Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang speaks out on Chelsea rumours after Barcelona offer £21m striker for transfer

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has broken his silence on a potential move to Chelsea.

Spanish TV station Jugones caught up with the Barcelona striker as rumours continue to swirl over his future.

But the 33-year-old was frank in his response and simply stated, via BarcaCentre: “I have nothing to say.”

Reports in Spain suggest at least one of Aubameyang and Memphis Depay will have to leave this summer to help balance Barcelona’s whirlwind finances.

With Depay nearing a move to Juventus, Chelsea are nonethelesss still in the mix for Aubameyang having been offered a deal earlier this summer.

Barcelona are open to selling the striker for £21million despite only signing him in January, as Standard Sport reported on Tuesday.

However, both Aubameyang and fellow potential signing Frenkie de Jong are understood to be reluctant to complete the move, even if it would mean the Gabonese player linking up with old coach Thomas Tuchel.
