Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a Barcelona player.
Whilst the 32-year-old's transfer deadline day move from Arsenal has not yet been announced by either club, it would appear that it's just a matter of time before we get official confirmation.
Aubameyang, who also had interest from Juventus and Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr prior to making his exit from the Emirates Stadium, had been expected to join Barcelona on loan for the remainder of the season.
However, the Catalan giants and the Gunners managed to reach an agreement that has allowed the Gabon international to complete a free transfer and help his former club save over £20million in wages.
Prior to Aubameyang's move officially being announced, he took part in his first training session as a Barcelona player.
As per Sport, the striker trained on Tuesday morning alongside his teammates, including fellow January signing Ferran Torres and placed himself under Xavi's orders despite not having been officially announced at the time.
Furthermore, as the image below shows, he was very close to Ousmane Dembele during the morning session.
This is rather significant as Aubameyang is said to have been pushing for a reunion with his former Borussia Dortmund teammate for some time now.
In fact, before signing his new Arsenal contract in the summer of 2020, he reportedly requested the signing of Dembele in order to convince him to stay in north London.
Of course, that wasn't the case as the Gunners did not make a move for the Frenchman and still managed to secure the future of their former captain.
But Aubameyang has finally got his wish and it could be great news for Barcelona.
The 2016/2017 campaign saw Dembele register a total of 12 assists in the Bundesliga, 10 of which were for Aubameyang thus making the pair most deadly duo in Europe's top five leagues that season.
A closer look at those assists and you will notice the Gabon international pulling to the back post and the then-21-year-old providing a perfectly weighted cross.
Although with Barcelona attempting to move Dembele on during the January transfer window, it remains to be seen if Aubameyang gets the chance to relive this dream partnership.
