Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang given brutal Chelsea exit advice amid LAFC transfer 'agreement'

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been told to give up hope of a Premier League move and complete his transfer to the MLS. The 33-year-old faces an increasingly uncertain future at Chelsea as Graham Potter looks to streamline his side.

He, who sees his contract at Stamford Bridge expire in 2024, has featured just 11 times for the Blues in the Premier League this season, directly contributing towards only one goal. Despite Aubameyang being the west Londoners' only senior option to lead the frontline, he does not appear to be in Chelsea's plans with Potter omitting the striker from his Champions League squad.

With the European transfer window closed, the former Arsenal captain has been left with very few options should he seek an exit from Chelsea before the end of the season. According to Le10Sport, the Blues have agreed a deal in principle with LAFC which would see Aubameyang join the MLS outfit on loan for the remainder of the season.

The report states that LAFC are looking to replace Gareth Bale following his retirement. Parlour told talkSPORT that the MLS would suit Aubameyang.

"It’s remarkable what’s happened, it looks like he’s got no confidence whatsoever," said the former Gunners midfielder. "[MLS] would probably suit him – a little bit of razzmatazz, all the American fans will like something different and certainly he can score goals in MLS all day long.

"Chelsea, it hasn’t worked out, Graham Potter probably knows he’s not part of the club’s future, with the signings they’ve bought in as well he’s not going to get a game, so I can certainly see that deal going through.

"It’s all down to Aubameyang, if he doesn’t want to go and is happy where he is, he won’t go, he just has to get on with it until the end of the season."

Parlour continued by highlighting Aubameyang's wage demands as a huge barrier between the striker and a Premier League move before he retires. The Arsenal legend added: "He isn’t going to get anywhere else in the Premier League. With his wages, what club would take him? Would someone gamble?"
