Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can gift Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel's last-minute dream transfer

It looks like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may be gifting Chelsea with a smooth last-minute transfer.

Two of Thomas Tuchel’s finest, Ousmane Dembele and Aubameyang may find themselves to be teammates once again.

Barcelona have reportedly agreed on a free transfer deal for the Arsenal striker. Despite their financial issues, the Catalans have found a way to agree on a deal with the Gabon international in the last few hours of the transfer window.

This spicy dish keeps getting hotter and hotter. With Aubameyang potentially adding to their payroll, it’s only a matter of time before a player has to be offloaded.

With how the window is going, it is way too early to close the door on a move for Ousmane Dembele.

First of all, Aubameyang to Barcelona for free is an absolute steal. That’s some good business for Barcelona if you ask me. Ousmane Dembele has been linked with a move to Chelsea since December with Thomas Tuchel keeping an eye on his situation.

It is well known that the German coach is an admirer of the Frenchman and a reunion is all but certain.

Signing Dembele means that another attacking player in the current Chelsea team would need to give way. The next question is, who will that player be? The summer transfer window will answer this but it is crucial that the question is posed now.

The arrival of Dembele needs to happen if we are to expect seamless changes in the summer. Aubameyang’s arrival is the perfect opportunity to swoop in on the Frenchman. I would rather have an extra creative edge now, allowing him to settle in before the summer gets hectic. We all know how difficult it is to maintain too many different transfers in one window.

Our 2020 summer transfer window saw a number of attacking options added into a team that just struggled to click. Despite winning the Champions League in the process, the team has struggled to find their rhythm in front of goal.

There are so many talented prospects that it is almost confusing as to how it hasn’t come together yet. I’m faithful that this group of players can turn the season around but there’s no harm in a helping creative hand.

Maybe Chelsea could learn a thing or two from this and bring in options bit by bit for Tuchel to manage easier. Let’s see how this goes…
