Graphic images from Jeffrey Epstein’s autopsy, including the orange prison bed sheet the convicted paedophile is said to have used to hang himself, have been shown for the first time.
The pictures, which also showed Epstein’s neck wound and his body inside his New York cell, were featured on CBS TV’s 60 Minutes show last night.
Another showed a handwritten note left inside Epstein's cell containing complaints he seemingly had about the conditions in prison.
He wrote that one guard "kept me in a locked shower stall for 1 hour", before claiming another had "send me burnt food".
The disgraced financier also complained that there were "giant bugs crawling over my hands. No fun!"
Epstein, 66, was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges and his death last August was officially ruled as suicide by hanging.
But conspiracy theories have speculated that the disgraced financier was murdered.
Former New York City medical examiner Dr Michael Baden, who was hired by Epstein’s brother Mark to observe the autopsy, was asked if he thought Epstein had committed suicide.
“The forensic evidence released so far, including the autopsy, point much more to murder and strangulation than suicide and suicidal hanging,” he told 60 Minutes.
New York City’s medical examiner’s office said that it stands “firmly” behind its official ruling of suicide.
