Pictured: Classic cars that secured historic Grand Prix win reunited after 95 years

A trio of cars that secured a historic win nearly 100 years ago at the British Grand Prix have been re-united on the finishing straight of a motor racing circuit in Surrey.

The Delage model 15 S8 cars were on display ahead of the anniversary of their win in 1927 where they took first, second and third place.

The cars have not been seen together for ninety five years.

The fastest track cars of their year, each completed 125 laps of the 2.7 mile course set out in Brooklands, the first purpose built British motor racing circuit in Weybridge, Surrey, in a little over 3 hours 49 mins.

Volunteers Garry Matthews and Ralph Brough were photographed preparing the winning car, one of only six manufactured by designer Louis Delage in Courbevoie, France.

The vehicle was driven to victory by racing driver Robert Benoist, ahead of its test track run this week.
