A man stabbed to death in Ilford has been named as 30-year-old Imran Isat.
Police were called to a home in Springfield Drive, Ilford following reports a man had been stabbed at 1.25am on Saturday.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but despite their best efforts he died at the scene.
A post-mortem found he died of shock and hemorrhage, and a stab wound to the chest.
Mr Isat’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
A murder investigation has been launched by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Two men arrested in connection with the investigation have been released without further action. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
