The Boston Celtics showed up to their tilt with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night desperate for a win after dropping 5 of their last 6 games, and by putting together their best overall effort in two weeks, banked a much-needed 121-109 victory.
Using a more varied offensive diet and more connected, communicative play on both ends, the Celtics were able to shake off some of their recent woes even while only shooting 28.3% from beyond the arc. Big games from Jaylen Brown (36 points, 7 rebounds), Jayson Tatum (30 points, 8 boards, 5 assists), Derrick White (18 points, 5 assists), and Al Horford (17 points, 11 rebounds) made the win possible even as Boston’s shooting woes continued.
