Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Stetson Bennett shocked a lot of folks when he earned an invitation to New York for the presentation of the Heisman Trophy. Nobody was predicting Bennett to be in the Heisman conversation ahead of the year.
The senior quarterback finished fourth in the 2022 Heisman Trophy voting. Bennett, a former walk-on, helped Georgia win a national championship last season and is a big reason why Georgia won the 2022 SEC championship and finished another regular season undefeated.
Bennett will face Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, who finished third in the voting, in a few weeks in the College Football Playoff. USC quarterback Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy, but he was quick to point out that he was the only one of the four finalists to not be in the CFP.
