The Boston Celtics started their preseason tilt vs. the New York Knicks‘ A squad a little slow with their reserves, falling into an early 9-point hole, only to storm back and end the first with a 29-28 lead on a Neemias Queta free throw.
The Celtics kept it fairly close until the fourth, eventually succumbing to the Knicks’ superior firepower on the court over key stretches if not on their roster. Boston ultimately fell to New York 114-107 as the Celtics bench showed positive signs and work to do both despite another big game from Payton Pritchard (21 points, 5 assists) and an excellent outing from Dalano Banton (20 points).
