The Boston Celtics dropped Game 4 of the NBA finals on the road to the Dallas Mavericks, falling 122-84. This marks the third largest lost in finals history.
Dallas was simply more engaged on both ends. They defended with tenacity and purpose in a way that really disrupted the Celtics. And on the other side of the action, the Mavericks lit it up early, grabbing a 26-point lead by halftime. This was in part thanks to an anemic offensive approach from Boston. The guys in green never found a shooting stroke, and this made it impossible to keep up with Dallas’ offensive explosion. It was such a lopsided affair that Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla actually pulled his starters in the third quarter. Game 5 is Monday night in Boston.
Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 4 win vs. the Mavs.
