The Boston Celtics needed to stop the bleeding after a pair of early-season losses threw some cold water on the Celtics’ red-hot start, and they got it against the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden for their first-ever in-season tournament.
Boston jumped out to a quick lead on Jaylen Brown‘s scoring and led nearly the entire game with Brooklyn making a game of things briefly at the end of the first frame before the Celtics took control for good. Boston won the rebounding battle 52-46, and stole the ball 5 times to Brooklyn’s 0 with 4 fewer turnovers and 12 less turnovers to grease the skids to a Celtics victory.
