The Boston Celtics got a do-over of their 118-108 win over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center the night before at their own home arena, TD Garden, and the second time around, things went a lot worse for the Nets.
In a game they never trailed in, the Celtics would lead by as much as 56 points, and would finish the game with a 136-86 victory thanks to stifling defense setting the tone early. Not only did Boston hold Brooklyn to just 32.3% from beyond the arc, but also to a mere 38.3% from the floor overall. Mix in that the Celtics pulled down 20 more rebounds, dished 5 more assists, and blocked 4 more shots than the Nets did, and you have a perfect storm for a blowout.
